The trail is not marked, so you will need to hire a local guide to climb uphill to Chitta Katha Lake after reaching Upper Domel. It takes around 4 to 8 hours of strenuous hike to reach this lake from Upper Domel. Tourists can only access it between June and August when it is not frozen.
