The path between Kumrat and Islamabad is through M1 and then via M16 (Swat Motorway) to Chakdara at the Sher Khan Interchange. Moreover, the N45 trail, Dir Road, and eventually the Kumrat Road map will connect Islamabad to the Kumrat Valley.
Swat Valley is an alternate route to Kumrat Valley. The total length between Kumrat Valley and Mingora Swat is about 156 kilometers (97 miles), which takes about six hours to drive. This route can be taken from Airport Road via Matta or over N95 via Khwazakhela. Other tourist destinations and well-known destinations to visit in Swat include Kalam, Gabral, Bahrain, Madyan, and more.
The distance between Kumrat Valley and Kalam is approximately 63 kilometers (39 miles), which takes slightly more than three hours to drive. While in Swat, particularly in Kalam Valley or surrounding places, it may be very silly to take this alternative short route to Kumrat. Keep in mind that this “Utrar to Dir Road” path is not a seamless drive and thus can be demanding, but it can also be a great attraction for adventurers.
